The company is looking to hire people in Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Mangaluru, Indore, Bhopal and Lucknow.
Created to address the higher volume of traffic anticipated by Amazon India in the next 6 months, these fresh positions will be typically for 3 to 6 months.
“We estimate that customer traffic will further scale up over the next 6 months with the onset of Indian and global holiday seasons,” said Akshay Prabhu, Director – Customer Service, Amazon India.
As shared by an individual involved with Amazon’s hiring process, each person hired for these roles would be paid between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000 per month based on the location and role.
These temporary positions are likely to shift to permanent roles towards the end of the year based on the individual performance as well as business needs.
