Shapewear and innerwear manufacturer CPS Shapers Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with value fashion retailer Baazar Retail Private Limited to manufacture and supply apparel and related products, marking a significant step towards strengthening its presence in the organised retail segment.
Under the agreement, CPS Shapers will undertake contract manufacturing based on specifications provided by Baazar Retail while also supplying its own products for sale across the retailer’s network of outlets. The collaboration is expected to support the company’s manufacturing expansion and broaden its customer base.
As part of the arrangement, CPS Shapers will manufacture products in accordance with the quality standards and operational requirements communicated by Baazar Retail. In addition, the company’s products will be displayed and sold through the retailer’s physical stores, enhancing market visibility and accessibility.
Baazar Retail operates under the brand Baazar Kolkata and has established a retail network of more than 200 stores across India, with a particularly strong presence in Eastern and Northeastern regions of the country. The retailer records annual revenues exceeding Rs. 1,300 crore (US $136 million) and caters to a diverse customer base within the organised retail market.
The partnership is expected to generate substantial sales opportunities for CPS Shapers by leveraging Baazar Retail’s established retail infrastructure and customer reach. The company believes the alliance will strengthen its brand presence, contribute to revenue growth, and create long-term business opportunities.
