The Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce has recommended that the Government, led by Hemant Soren, incorporate steps to support the textile sector in the next budget, capitalising on the current circumstances facing Bangladesh. In addition to providing an overview of the rural economy, the budget will focus on generating income by advancing the industrial sector and placing a strong emphasis on inclusive, sustainable, and all-around growth.
The head of the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce, Paresh Gattani, suggested this to Jharkhand Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore, emphasising the necessity of establishing a landbank to entice large enterprises and claiming that the State Government’s textile policy is the best in the nation.
In light of the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, he said, many Bangladeshi businesses may relocate here if the State Government offered the textile sector land, security, electricity, and water, as well as encouraged them to establish production facilities.
If eight or ten textile firms relocate here from Bangladesh, the area will undergo a transformation, and the chamber of commerce will work closely with the Government to make this happen.
