Jyoti Apparels, one of the leading apparel companies, is geared up to grow with new initiatives. The company has started a new product line — swimwear and has also added a few new retailers as clients from Germany, the US and the UK.
HKL Magu, MD of the company told Apparel Resources, “Routine products like women wear casuals category doesn’t have much growth in long run so to create a new growth avenue we decided to add this category and we are content with the response we have so far got from our clients about this new product category.”
Swimwear as a product category is not very common for Indian exporters and there are only a few companies exporting the same.
HKL Magu also added that production in this category is comparatively slow as fabric used in swimwear is very slippery and most of this fabric is being imported which takes a lot of time.
The company is getting demand of swimwear from the domestic market as well, but as of now it has focused on export.
