
The 2nd Conference on Technical Textiles is to be conducted on 17th and 18th November 2023, at Coimbatore.
Tamil Nadu holds a prominent position as a global player, boasting significant reach and competitiveness, contributing to 50 per cent of India’s textile mills and complementary clusters of knitting, weaving, spinning, and dyeing.
CII, in partnership with the Department of Textiles, Government of Tamil Nadu, and the Ministry of Textiles, is organising this event.
A Prelude Session was organised by The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in association with Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA).
The meeting was chaired by M. Vallalar IAS, Commissioner, Department of Textiles, Government of Tamil Nadu.
He said that the Textile Department of the Tamil Nadu Government provides facilities like provision for skill development training to textile workers and the incentives to the textile exporters to participate in the Global Sourcing Expo at Melbourne in Australia.
The Commissioner also added that he will support to the industry in the state.
Elango, Vice Chairman, CII Tirupur, Rajkumar Ramasamy, Vice President of TEA and Kumar Duraiswamy, Joint Secretary and other representative of the industry were present at the event.
