Manomay Tex India Ltd., a textile company that manufactures and sells premium denim fabrics and apparel, has approved a capacity expansion across its denim and spinning divisions to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and cater to growing market demand.
Under the expansion plan, the company will increase its denim fabric manufacturing capacity by 10 million metres per year and yarn production capacity by approximately 1,080 MT annually.
The company currently has an annual denim manufacturing capacity of around 48 million metres. With the proposed addition, its denim capacity will increase to approximately 58 million metres per year, representing a capacity growth of about 20.8%.
In the spinning division, the company currently has an annual yarn production capacity of around 17,640 MT. The planned addition of approximately 1,080 MT will take the capacity to about 18,720 MT annually, an increase of around 6.1%.
The decision was taken at the company’s board meeting held on August 31.
In the denim division, the company plans to install an RFD line for manufacturing bottom-weight fabrics and chinos. The new machinery is expected to enable production of contemporary and fashion-oriented denim fabrics.
The spinning division will be expanded through the addition of new spindles for producing coarse-count yarn, targeting demand in this segment.
The company said the capacity expansion is aimed at responding to evolving market requirements and supporting future revenue growth.
