Nahar Spinning Mills Ltd., an integrated textile manufacturer, reported a sharp improvement in its financial performance for the first quarter ended June 30 (Q1 FY ’27), driven by higher revenue and stronger operating margins.
The company’s standalone net profit surged 337.84% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs. 69.88 crore (US $7.31 million) in Q1 FY ’27, compared to Rs. 15.96 crore (US $1.67 million) in the corresponding quarter last year.
Standalone revenue from operations increased 17.92% YoY to Rs. 966.10 crore (US $101.08 million) from Rs. 819.28 crore (US $85.72 million) in Q1 FY ’26.
The company’s standalone EBITDA more than doubled, rising 119.34% to Rs. 127 crore (US $13.29 million) from Rs. 57.90 crore (US $6.06 million) a year earlier. EBITDA margin expanded by 609 basis points to 13.16% during the quarter, compared to 7.07% in the year-ago period.
On a sequential basis, standalone revenue increased from Rs. 916.82 crore (US $95.92 million) in Q4 FY ’26 to Rs. 966.10 crore (US $101.08 million) in Q1 FY ’27, while net profit rose from Rs. 23.42 crore (US $2.45 million) to Rs. 69.88 crore (US $7.31 million). EBITDA margin also improved from 6.43% in the previous quarter to 13.16%.
In addition to the financial results, the Board approved the re-appointment of Dinesh Oswal as Managing Director for five years effective January 1, 2027, subject to shareholder approval. The Board also approved the re-appointment of Dr. Yash Paul Sachdeva and Dr. Anchal Kumar Jain as Independent Directors for a second term of five years effective August 24, 2027.
