Raymond Ltd is investing up to US $ 115 million (Rs. 1000 crore) in garmenting, aero and defence sectors near Hindupur in Ananthapur District of Andhra Pradesh.
Gautam Singhania, Chairman of Raymond Group; K Narsimha Murty, who is on the board of Raymond Ltd; along with Raymond leadership team met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with his team and promised to support a joint redevelopment project with an investment of Rs. 1000 crore in the state.
Raymond provides a wide variety of shirt and suit materials, including denim, linen, cotton, wool blends, and woven fabrics. Among the brands that the corporation owns are Parx Ethnix, Park Avenue, Raymond Ready To Wear, and ColorPlus. Their modern, owned subsidiaries and presence in the B2B sector allow them to manufacture suits, trousers, shirts and jeans for well-known fashion brands worldwide.
In India, Raymond and its brands operate a huge network of more than 20,000 points of sale, with more than 1500 stores dispersed throughout 600 towns. More than 60 countries, including the USA, Canada, Europe, Japan, and the Middle East, purchase suits from Raymond, the world’s largest integrated textile firm.
