S.P. Apparels Ltd, a leading Indian manufacturer, has invested Rs. 6.02 crore (US $648,000) in equity in its wholly owned Sri Lankan subsidiary, S.P. Apparels International Private Limited (SPAIPL), to support expansion and strengthen its regional manufacturing presence.
The investment aims to enhance SPAIPL’s operational capabilities and support S.P. Apparels’ overall business growth strategy by capitalising on cost-effective manufacturing opportunities in Sri Lanka. It will reinforce S.P. Apparels’ strategy to optimise its supply chain and sharpen its competitive edge in the global garment export market.
S.P. Apparels had already invested approximately Rs 4.35 crore (US $468,000) into SPAIPL in November 2025 to support similar expansion goals and secure strategic advantages.
S.P. Apparels Ltd manufactures a wide range of apparel products, primarily focused on knitted garments for infants and children, including bodysuits, sleepsuits, tops, and bottoms for global retailers.
The company also produces men’s apparel such as shirts, polo shirts, T-shirts, trousers, sweaters, and jackets under the Crocodile brand. In addition, it manufactures women’s western wear under its Natalia brand, along with activewear and sportswear products.
