Few previous employees of leading apparel exporter Tets N Rai International, Manesar have made allegations that the company has not paid them their full salary.
These professionals claim that despite following up with the company, and making complaints to police as well as the brands working with the export house, their salary is still pending with the company.
Sandeep Midha, who used to work as GM, Production in the company told Apparel Resources, “More than Rs. 3.5 lakh of my salary is pending with the company and I brought this matter even to the notice of GAP Inc., but the company is not ready to pay the amount. Similar is the story of many other professionals working in this organisation.”
When approached, Davender Kumar, HR Manager of the company said all the allegations made by these professionals are baseless. The deduction, they are talking about, was made during the Covid phase and they were informed about the same well in advance.
“There were issues in the working of these professionals which resulted in poor quality and delay in shipments, and so we asked them to leave the company. Therefore, they are now making false allegations,” he said.
Refuting the claims made by the company, Sandeep said that all documents with him show that the company is resorting to unethical practices and creating pressure on the employees. The deduction made during the COVID-19 period was done for 3 months only, and from the month of September, no deduction whatsoever was done for any employee. Only few professionals were targeted.
Reacting strongly to this, Vivek Arora, Director of the company said that allegations made by Sandeep are false. “The allegations made by Sandeep against us are false and fictitious. Dues of all previous employees of the company, including Sandeep, have been paid according to the rules, terms and conditions of the appointment letter,” he said.
He further added that he has also instructed lawyers to file defamation case against Sandeep in the court of law.
