Sanathan Textiles Limited has commenced commercial production at its manufacturing facility in Wazirabad, Punjab.
In Phase 1, the plant has commissioned a Continuous Polymerisation (CP) line with an initial production capacity of 350 tonnes per day. This is expected to gradually increase to 700 tonnes per day over the next three to four months.
Following the completion of Phase 2, the Punjab facility is projected to add 950 tonnes per day to overall output, raising Sanathan Textiles’ total installed yarn manufacturing capacity from 223,750 MTPA at its Silvassa site to 570,500 MTPA across both locations.
According to the company, the two plants will serve different commercial priorities. The Punjab facility will focus on catering to North India’s textile market with an emphasis on local supply and sustainable manufacturing practices. The Silvassa plant, due to its proximity to western ports, will continue to service both domestic and export demand.
The company said this development marks the first step in its geographical expansion and reflects its efforts to diversify production while maintaining capacity growth.
