Technical textiles manufacturer Shree Karni Fabcom Limited partners with an Italian manufacturer of technical knitted fabrics to strengthen the company’s presence in India’s fast-growing premium apparel and performance textile segments.
This partnership opens new avenues for premium technical knitted fabrics in India’s swimwear, beach wear, sportstech and activewear sectors, a company release submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India said.
Under the agreement, Shree Karni Fabcom Limited will receive exclusive rights to promote the brand and drive sales of the Italian manufacturer’s premium technical knitted fabric, supporting rising demand from Indian apparel brands for high-performance stretch fabrics and technically advanced textile materials across the Indian market.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The name of the company was not disclosed.
The manufacturing partner was founded in 1962 and is regarded today as one of the world’s foremost producers of stretch-resistant knitted fabrics.
As per the release, with more than 60 years of operating history, the group has manufacturing capabilities across Italy, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Shanghai and the United States along with a production facility in Ethiopia serving as a key node in its international supply chain.
The company produces over 35 million metres of warp-knit and circular-knit stretch fabrics annually, exported to markets across Europe, America, and Asia.
The group’s fabric portfolio includes categories such as beachwear, Competition Swimwear, Technical & Sports, Fitness, Apparel, Lingerie, Footwear, and Furnishing fabrics. Its global clientele includes brands such as Adidas, Nike, Speedo, Lululemon, Calvin Klein, H&M, La Perla, Arena, Decathlon, and Puma, among many others.
