
British kidswear brand, Angel & Rocket is targeting 100 stores and Rs 250 crore revenue in India over the next five years as SP Retail Brands expands its retail, digital and brand-building investments.
The brand currently operates six stores in India and is set to open its seventh store in Chennai shortly. Jaipur has also been signed, while Mumbai and other markets are in the pipeline. Angel & Rocket expects to reach 10 stores in India within the next four-five months.
SP Retail Brands holds an 80% stake in Angel & Rocket globally and operates the brand as its licensee in India. The company plans to invest up to Rs 80 crore in the Indian business across retail expansion, brand building and digital growth.
India currently contributes around 10% of Angel & Rocket’s global revenue. Globally, the brand generates around £7 million in revenue and is targeting £30 million over the next five years.
In India, revenue currently stands at around Rs 12 crore, with the company targeting Rs 250 crore over the next five years. The brand follows an omnichannel model, with around 60% of India revenue coming from offline channels and 40% from online sales through its D2C website and marketplaces including Myntra.
Angel & Rocket has also relaunched its presence with Shoppers Stop across three locations and plans to expand the partnership to more than 30 stores.
Its exclusive stores generally cover 850-1,200 sq. ft., with an estimated capex of Rs 30-50 lakh per store. The company currently offers around 200-250 SKUs per season, with girls’ wear contributing nearly 70 % of its business.
Globally, Angel & Rocket operates across nearly 62 countries, with physical retail presence in around 12-13 markets, including the UK, US, Europe and the Middle East. The UK remains a key market through its partnership with Next.
