It’s Lohri today and to celebrate the festival, Asha Gautam is coming out with its collection of ethnic ensembles.
Started back in 2003 by the mother-son duo of Asha Gupta and and Gautam Gupta, Asha Gautam sells its collections not only through exclusive outlet in Delhi, but also through multi-brand designer outlets all over India.
Asha Gautam was commenced with a design philosophy inspired from rich Indian craftsmanship.
The collection, launched to commemorate the festival, is already talked about for the use of traditional textiles like bandhani, paithani, banarasi silk and kota among others – and all these in vibrant colours like bright rose, radiant yellow, garden green, beetroot purple, tomato red, rice gold, coriander brown and hot red.
Notably, vintage zardozi embroidery has been used with pearls, ari and resham.
Asha Gautam has been proactive in helping the resurgence of indigenous craftsmanship from across India.
