
Cover Story’, the women-centric fast-fashion brand by Future Retail – a leading retailer that operates multiple retail formats in both value and lifestyle segments of Indian consumer market, has inaugurated a flagship store in the Indian city of Mumbai.
The latest collections of the brand are available at the newly opened store at the city’s well-known Oberoi Mall. Fresh Spring/Summer 2018 collections, designed at its headquarters in London, will also be stocked here.
Markedly, the brand’s design house – Future Style Lab is located in London and keeps updating 10 per cent of its collections on the weekly basis to provide its customers with the latest trends.
A total of 14 stores were opened by Cover Story across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Surat in the last quarter. The brand is also available in various shop-in-shop formats such as Shoppers Stop, Central, Kapsons, Iconic and Sohum.
In addition to its own website, the Cover Story collection is also sold through e-stores such Myntra, Jabong and Koovs. The brand even collaborated with Central to strengthen its presence in major cities of India.
The brand is also reportedly preparing to expand its offerings by launching a workwear range for women soon. It recently posted slogans: “Act like a lady, think like a boss” and “Work hard, play it cool” on social media which further fuels the speculations that retailer will soon venture into this new segment.
Markedly, Cover Story was launched in 2016 to compete with foreign imports such as Zara, owned by Inditex. The Future Group also owns and operates lifestyle stores like Brand Factory, Central, etc.
