
Walmart-led Flipkart is collaborating with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) to conduct a workshop series for MSMEs across India!
The objective is to help the MSMEs harness the power of e-commerce and grow their business.
Flipkart aims to host over 10 such events, to begin with, across cities such as Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Nagpur and more, it said in a statement.
The first location to host the workshop titled ‘Winning big with e-commerce’ was held at Ahmedabad yesterday.
Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO, Flipkart Group said “Flipkart has always been committed to empowering MSMEs and domestic manufacturers to succeed in India. We know that MSMEs play a key role in job creation and India’s economic development, and we understand the importance of giving these businesses an avenue for sustained, faster growth.”

We aim to create a robust ecosystem to enable this growth, and familiarising and supporting MSMEs with the benefits of e-commerce is an essential step in this direction. We look forward to partnering lakhs of MSMEs and bring them into the e-commerce fold over the coming months.”
Flipkart representatives will be present at the event to advise attendees on identifying new opportunities, importance of building your brand online, supply chain and inventory management along with access to capital and accounting and taxation issues related to the e-commerce sphere.
While agreeing that e-commerce has the potential to develop manufacturing sector and strengthen digital economy, Rajiv Vastupal, Immediate Past Chairman, FICCI Gujarat State Council said “We are pleased to work alongside Flipkart in this initiative, and are confident of its benefits to MSMEs across India.”
