Swedish fashion retailer, which has now started targeting Tier II cities in India, has announced opening date of its Aurangabad store. The retailer will open doors of its store in the city on July 27.
The upcoming Aurangabad store will be located at Prozone Mall. The retail brand has announced to reward Gift Cards worth Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7,000, and Rs. 5,000 to first 3 fashionistas in line respectively, while the next 200 in line will each get a Gift Card worth Rs. 500 each.
The latest assortment for women, men, teenagers, and kids will be stocked in the Aurangabad store, slated to be opened this monsoon. The retailer will also add one more store to its chain in Chennai on July 19.
The latest retail expansion by the retailer shows that it is keeping up well with its strategy to open at least one store a month in India, ever since its entry in Indian market in 2015. H&M India notably has on-average opened one outlet every month, which has also helped it gain a quick traction. Remarkably, it has achieved almost a 19 per cent increase in sales to Rs. 535 crore in the first six-months (December-May) this year, as compared to Rs. 450 crore during the same period a year ago.
The Tier II cities in India have become the target locations for apparel retailers. H&M has been focussing on smaller cities. At present however, the bulk of the stores are located in key metros and Tier-I cities.
