Five British fashion designers, namely, Christopher Bailey, Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane, Erdem and Roland Mouret have joined hands on a new capsule collection, which will be sold online at luxury retailer, Net-A-Porter. Drawing inspiration from Livia Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge (GCC) to put sustainable style in the spotlight at high-profile red carpet events, designers have designed two ensembles each, which are said to embrace “the highest sustainable standards”. The silhouettes have eco-friendly features like, Oeko-Tex certified silk and polyester fabrics, materials made with Newlife yarns from recycled plastic bottles, and wool fully traced and sourced from Australia.
