Tri Ocean Textile Co., Taiwan-based company, engaged in weaving, dyeing, processing and distribution of fibres and fabric products, unveiled its plans to close its nylon division next year, with an aim to transform itself into a polypropylene yarn manufacturing company due to higher prices and better market sentiment that the product commands. The company plans to raise funds to convert its 66 nylon yarn factories in Thailand into one, making polypropylene yarns. According to Taiwan Stock Exchange, from January through June, Tri Ocean registered losses of NT $ 17.5 million, down from losses of NT $ 33.99 million, a year before.
