
The French manufacturer of apparel and accessories, Kering has announced a five-year partnership with the London College of Fashion (LCF) to encourage the students towards using sustainable materials in their collections. A sum of £ 31,500 will be awarded to two students every year who stand out in their efforts to design apparels using sustainable materials. François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and Chief Executive, Kering issued a statement saying, “Identifying and nurturing talent is critical, so we are pleased to launch our new partnership and curriculum we are developing with the LCF to help shape the future of sustainable fashion. In my view, nothing is more important than providing the framework to educate the next generation to act and become the change-makers to address the future challenges.”
