
Board of Investment Bangladesh recently signed an agreement with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Limited, the largest financial institution of Japan, aiming larger investments in the presence of Industry Minister Amir Hossain Amu, BOI Chairman Dr. Syed A Samad, Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman, FBCCI President Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed and the other officials. The Industry Minister said that this MoU will play an effective role to strengthen the bilateral relation covering trade and economic development between the two friendly nations. At present, around two hundred Japanese ventures are working in Bangladesh, of those, 70 to 80 per cent are involved with the country’s small and medium enterprises.
