
Looking to the positive consumers’ sentiment and festival season, Indian apparel retailers are expecting their sales to go up by 10-15 per cent compared to last year. Kishore Biyani, CE of Future Group feels that there are various positive factors, due to which apparel sales are expected to be more than 20 per cent. Rahul Mehta, President, The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India, (CMAI) too expects the same Due to a stable Central Government and stock markets doing good. Govind Shirkhande, MD of Shoppers Stop is also expecting good apparel sales this festive to be higher by 10-15 per cent as customers have benefited from the markets soaring to a new high.
