Vellore Collector R. Nanthagopal has asked the officials to explore the possibility of developing a textile park in Gudiyatham. He has also asked the officials to accelerate the schemes of upgrading of well irrigation sources in Narasingapuram in Alangayam union (at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh), Melakuppam Panchayat in Alangayam union (Rs. 40.50 lakh), Vanakkambadi Panchayat in Thimiri union (Rs. 39 lakh), Durgam Panchayat in Thimiri union (Rs. 40 lakh) and Mandalanayanagunta Panchayat in Kandili union (Rs. 28 lakh).
