Indian textile and garment industry may get new push now as it is also including in ‘Make in India’ campaign covering 25 various sectors. The campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, in the presence of Indian and international corporate giants. The scheme has unveiled a web portal, and brochures on 25 identified growth sectors. It puts in place the logistics and systems to address queries of potential investors in a timely manner. This initiative presents investment opportunities for not only fabric, accessories, technical textile, footwear and apparel manufacturers to setup manufacturing facilities in India, but also to the international brands and retailors to enter the Indian market.
