Pakistan has continued its impressive denim apparel exports to USA as it proved to be the only country in top 5 denim shippers to USA that remained positive in their shipment during August ’21 over July ’21.
According to OTEXA, Pakistan exported US $ 43.64 million worth of denim apparel exports to USA in Aug. ’21, noting 14.96 per cent monthly surge as compared to July ’21.
Notably, Pakistan surpassed Vietnam and China that could just clock US $ 38.65 million and US $ 40.07 million from their respective denim apparel export to USA in Aug. ’21, falling by 20.62 per cent and 8.08 per cent, respectively, on monthly note.
Vietnam’s lockdown and resurgence in coronavirus cases has certainly hurt the country’s apparel business and that’s evident in the data.
It’s worth noting here that USA’s import in denim apparel segment valued US $ 357.49 million in August ’21 which was down by 4.51 per cent as compared to July ’21 value.
The top denim apparel shipper Bangladesh clocked US $ 74.16 million from its shipment to the US market, declining 5.80 per cent on M-o-M basis in August ’21, and remained way ahead of Mexico that tapped US $ 60.33 million noting 9.48 per cent monthly dip in its shipment during August ’21.
