The topographical survey for the PM MITRA Mega Textile and Apparel Park, which would be built in Lucknow’s Attari village, has been cleared by the UP Government.
The Uttar Pradesh Small Industries Corporation Limited (UPSIC) has the duty of conducting the survey. A government official said that the UPSIC has started the survey work.
A team from the revenue department has also been assembled by the district magistrates of Lucknow and Hardoi to measure and topographically survey the area for the textile park. The park will be constructed on 1,000 acres of land, of which 259.09 acres would be in the Hardoi district and 903.07 acres in the Lucknow district.
The government gave the survey of the park the all-clear, so it could begin. The government will receive the survey report from the UPSIC revenue teams and the district magistrates of Lucknow and Hardoi within 20 days.
In parallel, the special purpose vehicle (SPV) created for the implementation of the textile park has had its draught sent to the Indian government’s textile ministry for approval. The park will be developed using a public-private partnership (PPP) strategy.
Work on the master plan, project estimate, and bid documents are all being done concurrently. Documents pertaining to the draft bid have also been created concurrently with the selection of the park’s master developer.
By 24th June, interested businesses must submit their applications. Around Rs. 1,200 crore would be spent on the textile park’s construction, according to estimates.
