
Lectra, a France-based integrated technology services provider for the textile and fashion industry, recently organised ‘Design to Manufacture’ seminars and workshops in India.
The seminars and workshops were held in Bangalore, Tirupur and Gurgaon, the three key textile and garment manufacturing hubs of the country. Various leading apparel exporters and fashion brands participated in the events.
The seminars focused on guiding apparel manufacturers on how to reduce the product development time at their organisations to stay ahead in such a competitive global apparel market.
Prasenjeet Shambharkar, Solutions Consultant, Lectra India explained the participants about how the new technology solutions offered by his company can be helpful in increasing the productivity and saving fabric in the cutting sections of the factories.
Another Consultant at Lectra India, Rajeev Sharma shared a brief overview of all the processes in the textile sector, from design to production, at the seminars. He also discussed the challenges that garment exporters face during the product development stage and at the sampling stage.
Issues in pattern making were also highlighted and how Lectra can be a solution to all these problems was explained to the participants.
At the workshops, Lectra demonstrated its technology solutions like Modaris that can significantly help Indian apparel suppliers to increase their speed to market by tackling complexities such as extended product development processes.
The company is further planning to host a series of ‘Design to Manufacture’ seminars and workshops in other cities of India as well in near future.
