Lakme Fashion Week launched its latest digital couture ‘Nexa Digital Couture’ on 7 January. The event showcased interactive, ready-to-shop looks by Ridhi Mehra, Amit Aggarwal and Abraham and Thakore.
The organiser took to social media platforms, including Facebook, for exhibiting the collections.
The looks were ready to purchase and shoppers were allowed to message the brands on Instagram in case they decide to shop any look.
Amit Aggarwal collection ‘If flowers had fins’ got its inspiration by fantasy. The designer also said he is looking to various ways for extension of his couture collection with a promise for a new beginning through these unprecedented times.
Designer Ridhi Mehra showcased a fluid, turmeric yellow look inspired by the royal heritage of Kutch. The collection represented the timeless elegance crafted with dexterity and boasted the essence of the elements of the Bandhani art form from Gujarat.
The duo Abraham and Thakore’s offering was paired down but intricately constructed. The collection was inspired by Sikkimese Baku wrap dress and skirts which allow the wearer to wrap it the way they prefer.
Apart from this, the event also showcased looks by brands like Kanika Goyal Label and Huemn.
