IKEA India has introduced Click & Collect shopping experience at its Hyderabad store to enable contactless shopping for customers amidst COVID-19.
The service is available for IKEA’s different range of products including home furniture, work furniture, cooking essentials and textiles.
The introduction of this service is to reduce the contact between the customer and staff.
As the company has restarted its online services in the city, the Click & Collect option will allow the customers to shop for a product online and collect it from the store. The customers shopping on the website can buy the products, make the payment online and select the Click & Collect option when checking out.
The IKEA’s delivery team will prepare the order to be delivered at the Click & Collect station which will be at the store’s car parking area. The customers are notified through a text or e-mail when their order is ready for pickup.
“Safety and security of our co-workers and customers are our top priority and all measures have been put in place to enable safe shopping and a safe working environment, in line in with our own internal standards and Government guidelines,” said Aurelie Raimon, Hyderabad Store Manager at IKEA.
Furthermore, to ensure a complete safe environment, the company has introduced other important measures such as contactless temperature checks for customers who visit the store to collect their products.
The stores are regularly sanitised, proper social distancing is being followed, hygienic handling of products and staff is being trained to ensure a hassle free and safe delivery experience is delivered to the customers.
Moreover, IKEA also is ensuring that all the service providers are meeting the global standards of quality and safety.
