The fifth edition of ITMA Asia + CITME 2016 has received a huge response from domestic and international machinery manufacturers who are eager to explore the Chinese market, which has been pushing for quality products, higher productivity, and green technologies.
The exhibition, which will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai, from October 21 to 25, 2016 has already received close to 1,000 applications for space, from manufacturers, as claimed by the show owners, CEMATEX (owner of ITMA), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex) and China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC).

“We have seen a greater number of Chinese manufacturers signing up to exhibit at the combined show this year. Interestingly, nearly 30 per cent of the applicants are first-time participants. This attests to the reputation of the combined show as a leading-edge industry platform,” said Gu Ping, Vice President, CTMA.
ITMA Asia + CITME 2016 will present a huge opportunity to the textile machinery manufacturers as China rolls out its 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020), under which the Chinese textile industry’s focus will be on industrial transformation and upgradation. This will certainly help textile machinery manufacturers across the globe gain foothold in China. In 2015, the Chinese textile industry recorded a 200 per cent increase in investments in textile projects, as compared to 2014.
The show is being organized by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co. Ltd. and co-organized by MP Expositions Pte Ltd., along with Japan Textile Machinery Association as a special partner.
