
Italy-based fashion house Giorgio Armani S.p.A. has opened its first ‘exclusive’ Armani Exchange store in the Indian market. The store opened in the capital of the country – New Delhi – will offer latest Armani Exchange accessories and apparel collections for both men and women.
With Armani Jeans, Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani already present in the Indian market, the fashion giant planned to bring Armani Exchange to India to attract young generation of the country.

It may be mentioned here that luxury goods market in India is growing at a great pace. Presently, it stands at about US $ 20 billion and is expected to reach US $ 50 billion dollars in the next four years. Therefore, the move by Armani to foray into the country shows its eagerness to capitalize on the opportunities available in the growing Indian market.
Armani Exchange was launched in 1991 in the US and retails in fashion and lifestyle products. Inspired by street-chic culture and dance music, the brand is targeted as the most accessible Armani brand.
