Tirupur, India’s largest knitwear production hub, is benefiting from the shifting geopolitical landscape that is favouring India’s apparel exports. Not only are current customers increasing their sourcing from this region, but brands that previously had little or no sourcing from this region are also taking notice.
Local exporters strongly believes that in coming days, the hub will have more orders as renowned brands and retailers like Primark, M&S, C&A, GAP, Costco and Walmart etc. are appointing third-party auditing firms to assess the capacity and capability of this cluster.
It has been also reported that prestigious brands like Honest Baby Clothing, BB Baby, and Monica + Andy are also having a greater thrust on Tirupur.

This includes concentrating more on the US market, increasing their product offerings and capacities, investing more in upgrades, using MMF in addition to cotton, and putting more of an emphasis on sustainable initiatives.
