From 14th-17th February 2025, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the Bharat Tex Trade Federation will host the global textile event Bharat Tex 2025, where the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) is expected to have a major influence.
As a crucial component of the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, CMAI will showcase India’s increasing global dominance in the textile and apparel industry through a number of events, including panel discussions, a specialised pavilion with top brands, and sustainable projects meant to introduce Indian clothing producers, brands, and start-ups to both domestic and foreign consumers.
CMAI’s key activities at Bharat Tex will be:
A Brands of India pavilion showcasing 40+ leading Indian retail brands, showcasing top apparel manufacturers and retailers including Allen Solly, American Eagle, Arrow, Biba, Blackberry and more.
Panel discussion delving into India’s first size chart initiative, set to be launched at the event and discussion value retail.
The SU.RE (Sustainable Resolution) initiative by CMAI, Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), United Nations in India, and The Ministry of Textiles India will launch its official website and Sustainable Supply Chain Directory at the event.
CMAI President Santosh Katariya said that the occasion provides a useful forum for examining potential alliances and solidifying India’s place in the global supply chain, opening the door to a more lucrative and sustainable future. Given the potential expansion of India’s garment industry, it is hoped that the Government will abandon any plans to change the GST rates in order to prevent industrial disruption.
