Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of India’s Uttar Pradesh (UP) state, has announced that 26 districts would be home to 27 integrated manufacturing and logistics clusters (IMLCs).
The clusters, which will cover 13,240 acres total—of which 9,864 acres have already been purchased—would be positioned along five motorways. These are anticipated to stimulate economic growth and draw in foreign investment.
According to media sources from the state, Yogi stated that the IMLCs will make use of the state’s vast motorway network, improving logistics and cutting down on travel time.
These will provide competitive land prices, specialised logistical services, smooth connectivity, specialised basic infrastructure, an open land distribution mechanism, a competent workforce, and a conducive industrial environment.
Plots at low pricing will be made available to investors, together with specialised logistical facilities and easy access to air, rail, and road links.
The government of Uttar Pradesh intends to create industrial nodes on 13,240 acres of land that will be separated into 27 clusters along five motorways. Of this, 9,864 acres have already been purchased, while the remaining 3,376 acres are in the process of being purchased.
The greatest node in terms of area is the Bundelkhand Motorway. With 11 districts spread over 3,707 acres, the Ganga Motorway node encompasses the most districts.
With 514 acres spanning two districts—Gorakhpur (361 acres) and Ambedkarnagar (153 acres), the Gorakhpur Link Motorway node is the smallest.
