T.R.B. Rajaa, the Minister of Industries, visited the 120 acres of property in Tamil Nadu’s Salem city’s Jahir Ammapalayam on Sunday in order to establish a textile park. A miniature Tidel Park and textile park for the Salem district were announced by the Chief Minister during his December 2021 visit to the city.
According to the statement, the Chief Minister laid the cornerstone for a miniature tidel park in Anaigoundampatti in May 2023. The park was built on 3 levels and 55,000 square feet of land for ₹29.50 crore. In September of this year, the tidel park was officially opened by the chief minister. At Jahir Ammapalayam, 120 acres have been designated for the textile park.
Ten thousand employment will be directly created by this textile park, while another 30,000 to 40,000 jobs will be indirectly created. According to the Minister, the textile park’s construction will shortly begin.
