Rajasthan’s textile and apparel clusters like Jaipur, Bhilwara, Jodhpur, Pali and Pushkar can see significant investments in the near future as the state Government is pushing industrialists to invest in the light of the upcoming investor summit ‘Rising Rajasthan’
There are reports that recently in Bhilwara, 62 MoUs regarding an investment of more than Rs. 4000 crore (approx US $ 473 million) and creating employment for 9,000+ people, were signed among the State Government and textile industry. Though the names of these companies have not been disclosed, officials told Apparel Resources that leading local textile companies have come forward to announce investment.

It is also pertinent to mention here that often, manny of the companies that announce investments in such investor summits don’t place on the ground level or are delayed in many cases.
K K Meena, GM, District Industries Centre, Bhilwara, who confirmed to Apparel Resources that the 62 MoUs have been signed, said, “The capital announced for investment may be a lessened during the execution of the expansion plan. The Government is offering interesting schemes and support to the industry to ensure that the announcements made get properly executed.”
He also added that the MoUs signed are majorly focused on expanding apparel manufacturing along with spinning. Apparel Resources has approached various companies for the details of their expansion, keep following the same space for updates.
