Construction work at the PM MITRA Park being developed at Bhainsola near Badnawar in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore division is progressing steadily, with more than 1,100 acres of land already allocated to industries across the first two development phases.
The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has begun preparations to allot land in the third phase of the integrated textile park.
Spread over approximately 2,156 acres, the project is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2,063 crore (US $218 million). It has so far attracted investment proposals exceeding Rs. 20,000 crore (US $2.11 billion), with the proposed investments expected to generate more than 46,000 employment opportunities. Once operational, the park is expected to position the Indore-Dhar region as a major textile and garment manufacturing hub in India.
Development of core infrastructure within the park is nearing completion. Internal roads, water supply networks, drainage systems and other civil works are in the final stages, while key common facilities including a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Common Facility Centre, testing laboratory, incubation centre and plug-and-play industrial sheds are also under development.
External electrical infrastructure has already been completed, and the park has secured an electricity distribution licence, enabling regular power supply to industries that establish operations at the site.
The park’s development is being complemented by the expansion of garment manufacturers including the Arvind Group, OFB Tech, Nysaa and Jhil in the wider Indore region. Garments produced by these units are expected to be supplied to leading domestic and international brands including H&A, Zara, Arrow and US Polo.
The PM MITRA Park has also been connected to the National Highway network and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway through a four-lane access road, improving logistics and export connectivity.
The project has also attracted international attention, with a delegation of Taiwanese industrial representatives recently visiting the site to assess investment opportunities. State authorities are working to expedite the completion of the remaining infrastructure to facilitate further industrial development.
