Sanathan Textiles, a manufacturer of polyester filament yarn, cotton yarn and yarns for technical textiles, reported a 120.5% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue from operations to Rs 1,804 crore (US $190.1 million) in Q2 FY27, compared with Rs 818 crore (US $86.2 million) in Q2 FY26.
Consolidated EBITDA increased 144.8% to Rs 154.7 crore (US $16.3 million), against Rs 63.2 crore (US $6.7 million) in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose 204.5% to Rs 61.2 crore (US $6.4 million) in the September 2026 quarter, compared with Rs 20.1 crore (US $2.1 million) in Q2 FY26.
Sequentially, revenue increased 35.2% from Rs 1,334.7 crore (US$140.6 million) in Q1 FY27, while EBITDA grew 43.1% from Rs 108.1 crore (US$11.4 million).
Consolidated EBITDA margin improved to 8.6% in Q2 FY27 from 7.7% in Q2 FY26 and 8.1% in Q1 FY27. PAT margin also increased to 3.4%, compared with 2.5% in the year-ago quarter and 1.8% in the preceding quarter.
Management attributed the quarter’s performance primarily to the continued ramp-up of its Punjab facility, higher capacity utilisation and full production placement. The company noted that the facility contributed to higher volumes and improved margins during the quarter.
Sanathan Textiles’ standalone revenue stood at Rs 992.1 crore (US $104.5 million) in Q2 FY27, registering 29.3% year-on-year and 22% sequential growth. However, consolidated revenue recorded significantly higher growth, increasing 120.5% year on year and 35.2% quarter on quarter.
The company did not disclose separate revenue, capacity or utilisation figures for the Punjab facility.
Sanathan Textiles’ standalone EBITDA stood at Rs 83.8 crore (US $8.8 million) in Q2 FY27, declining 11.7% from Rs 94.9 crore (US $10 million) in Q1 FY27, despite a 22% sequential increase in standalone revenue.
Standalone EBITDA margin was 8.5%, down 320 basis points sequentially and 80 basis points year on year. Standalone PAT stood at Rs 58.7 crore (US $6.2 million), increasing 16% year on year but declining 9.7% from Rs 65 crore (US $6.8 million) in Q1 FY27.
Management noted that domestic demand remained strong during Q2 FY27, with customers returning to normal purchasing patterns as raw-material and product prices stabilised.
It added that some customers had deferred purchases during Q1 FY27 amid disruptions in energy and raw-material markets caused by the West Asia conflict. The recovery in buying activity, along with the company’s ability to place its entire production with customers, supported sequential revenue growth.
During Q1 FY27, the company’s priorities included securing raw-material supplies, ensuring production placement and maintaining uninterrupted plant operations at high efficiency.
Sanathan Textiles operates across polyester yarns, cotton yarns and yarns for technical textiles. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Silvassa and Punjab. The company offers more than 3,200 yarn products and nearly 50,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs).
Going forward, Sanathan Textiles said it will focus on improving operational efficiency, expanding capacity and maintaining margins.
