Piyush Goyal confirms the formulation of National Retail Trade Policy

A much required retail policy for the Indian retail trade is finally on the anvil now!

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal affirmed in Lok Sabha that a National Retail Trade Policy is under making adding “The Government proposes to have a National Retail Trade Policy.”

The implementation of this policy will make a contributing environment in the retail trade.

Note the fact that the policy is under formulation, and therefore a date hasn’t been finalised yet. Once the dates are out, the policy will be implemented.

This policy shall help the retailers and traders to abridge the rules and regulations as well as overcome the hurdles that create hindrances in the growth of retail industry.

Notably, the State Governments will also be asked to put forward their views while framing the National Retail Trade Policy.
