Sportswear magnate adidas is celebrating one of its most successful partnerships with a film based on sustainability.
adidas has been partnering with Parley for the Oceans for the last 5 years in a bid to fight plastic pollution and the film is commemorating this effort towards sustainability by raising awareness about the need to fight marine plastic pollution.
The purpose of the film is to inspire positive action and as adidas considers sustainability to be a pillar in planning and architecture of products & stories, they have come up with a 3-loop strategy.
And what’s that 3-loop strategy about!
One, to collect plastic waste in collaboration with Parley; two, making a circular loop for the plastic in the shoes to be used again and again; and three, regenerative loop, engineering organic materials to make yarn and leather that can potentially replace plastic in the near future.

The company is also pledging to replace all plastic and polyester in its products by 2024.
In continuation of the partnership, adidas has also announced the launch of ULTRABOOST DNA PARLEY, a running shoe with recycled plastic from beaches and coastal communities seamlessly made into an upper.
The new range will retail on adidas’ official website for Rs. 17,999.
