At their innovative best, adidas has collaborated with McDonald’s to add some exciting flavour to the game of basketball by unveiling the ‘Sauce Pack’ collection of sneakers in India.
The line, which stays true to the essence of both brands, features three designs: Harden Vol. 4, Dame 6 and TMAC 1.
Inspired by ace basketballers James Harden, Damian Lillard and Tracy McGrady who have redefined the game in their own way, the ‘Sauce Pack’ collection is set to become the modern and unexpected interpretation in the sneaker-verse.
The Dame 6, Harden Vol. 4 and TMAC 1 will retail on adidas’ official website and select retail outlets at an MRP of Rs. 10,999, Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 13,999, respectively.
The Harden sneaker, with an orange and purple colourway, pulls inspiration from McDonald’s garlic chili sauce and brings forth the ingredients: a step back, deep 3 ball, crazy handles and the beard.
The Dame 6 draws from the duality of Lillard’s game and resembles the classic dipping sauce packaging. The green and orange show showcases the key ingredients: the clutch gene, wrist-tap, layup package and deep 3 ball.
TMAC 1 is a metallic gold and red shoe that pays tribute to the iconic Big Mac sauce with the ingredients of fade away jumper, deep 3 ball and post-game.
Other than this, adidas’ head of Human Resources Karen Parkin recently resigned from her position following backlash on her strategy to address racial issues in the workplace and the company’s failure to diversify workforce.
