
For the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL) recorded a net loss of Rs. 51 crore (US $ 5.9 million), which was less than the Rs. 78 crore (US $ 9.2 million) loss for the same period the previous year.
Compared to Rs. 4,167 crore (US $ 489 million) in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, the company’s sales for the quarter climbed by 3 per cent to Rs. 4,305 crore (US $ 507 million).
Driven by outstanding fashion-forward products, the Pantaloons division reported quarterly sales of Rs. 1,305 crore (US $ 153 million), with a 6 per cent seasonal rise.
ABFRL stated that the brands experienced strong retail growth, driven by a successful festive season and a continued focus on product innovations, improved retail experiences, and brand prominence. The significant growth this quarter was supported by newer businesses targeting emerging consumer segments, aligning with the company’s diversification strategy.
