Agilitas Sports, an Indian sports and athleisure firm, has announced that it has purchased the exclusive rights to create, produce, and market Lotto, a well-known Italian sports brand, in Australia and India. Agilitas Sports also has intentions to soon expand into South Africa.
With the goal of launching Lotto items in India by early 2025, Agilitas, led by former Puma India Managing Director Abhishek Ganguly, plans to purchase the trademark licence from New York investment group WHP Global. The company, however, did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
“As Agilitas Sports pursues profitable and sustainable growth, this collaboration is poised to make a significant impact on our business and the consumer markets under the license,” said Ganguly.
According to him, the business will soon be making investments in supply chain management, marketing, distribution, and research and development.
Agilitas, supported by Nexus Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, will distribute the Lotto-branded products via its online channels and stores under its own exclusive brand.
