American Eagle to open 50 stores in India

American Eagle, the US-based leading brand, plans to set up 50 stores in India in the next 3 years.

The brand has launched its first franchise store in Jaipur (Rajasthan) under the license from American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. to Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL). It is the first high street store for the brand in India.

With stores across NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Chennai, Mumbai and now Jaipur, we have covered most of the major cities in the country.”

He further added that having established a strong customer connect and a proven business model, we plan to open another 50 stores over the next three years with key franchisee partners to drive the brands’ reach across the country.

American Eagle operates over 1,000 stores in the US, China, Canada, Mexico and Hong Kong, and ships to 82 countries worldwide.

ABFRL operates brands such as Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly and Peter England in India. The retail giant also has long-term exclusive partnerships with brands such as Ralph Lauren, Fred Perry, Forever 21, Hackett London, Simon Carter, Ted Baker and Reebok.
