Amid the old and established textile and clothing companies, some of the new players in Kolkata are making their space, even growing at a steady pace. Having started with trading, 4-year-old GR Garments (LITTLE MEE brand) established itself firmly in the domestic market with good reach in many states through its distributors. Now it is expanding its horizons towards the export sector. For this, it participated for the first time in IIGF, an international apparel sourcing event.
Rajendra Purohit, Director of the company informed, “We have targeted good artists, legends, successful personalities across the globe and are highlighting their quotes or views through our garments and people are appreciating this concept as it gives a message too. We are hopeful that our products will be appreciated in overseas markets too.” The company has improved on PD as it is working on water repellent garments along with outfits with fragrance sustaining till seven washes.
With every passing year, the company has grown and developed its team, which has made Rajendra hopeful about growing in export. At present, it outsources its products from closely associated jobworkers.
