D2C apparel brand Coolmate has raised US $ 6 million in a Series B funding round led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia (SEA) & India. This investment will support Coolmate’s strategic goals to expand internationally, enhance product innovation, and strengthen its omnichannel retail presence throughout Southeast Asia.
Pham Chi Nhu, CEO and co-founder of Coolmate, highlighted the brand’s commitment to sustainability, stating, “Since the beginning, our goal has been to create a socially conscious company that benefits not just its clients but also its staff and the community. At Coolmate, we’re dedicated to lessening our impact on the environment while still offering contemporary customers comfortable, fashionable, and long-lasting apparel.”
Gen Ping Liu, Partner at Vertex Ventures SEA & India, emphasised the brand’s alignment with regional growth trends, noting, “Nhu represents the new generation of founders who have strong ties to local customers and aspirations for a worldwide presence, while Coolmate represents the new generation of SEA’s domestic D2C businesses that take use of the region’s rapidly growing supply chain advantage.”
