Continuing its dream run in India, Swedish fast-fashion retailer H&M has expanded its national footprint by adding another store at Xperia Mall, Palava City, Dombivli (E), in Mumbai.
The new store, spanning 22,000 sq. ft. area, is, notably, H&M’s 32nd store in the country. It stocks the brand’s entire range of fashion and accessories for women, men, teenagers and children.
Significantly, in recent weeks, the retailer had rolled out stores in Ahmadabad and Mysuru, too.
It seems that H&M, the flagship brand of Hennes & Mauritz, is keeping up well with its strategy to open at least one store a month in India, ever since its market entry in 2015.
And clearly, the approach has played out well, helping the brand to achieve a quick traction and create a strong affinity and brand recall among Indians.
Moreover, to supplement its offline presence, H&M India has also launched its own online store and app in the country, making it the 45th global market where H&M has e-commerce operations.
Moving ahead, H&M India has now turned its focus on smaller cities as well – at present, the bulk of the stores are located in key metros and Tier-I cities.
Further, the retailer is also investing in a warehouse in Mumbai, expected to be ready by 2018 end, to bolster its e-commerce operations in India.
