Keeping the ongoing crisis in mind, India’s celebrated fashion and lifestyle brand Good Earth has launched its new sustainable clothing and homeware collection, called ‘Still’.
The latest collection is inspired by the lack of movement that brought a unique experience to our lives, as a result of the nationwide lockdown.
To give life to ‘Still’, Good Earth has collaborated with three Indian artists – designer and poet Pranav Misra, artist Joya Mukerjee Logue and dancer Shivani Verma.
The trio, in a video series, underlines the relevance of stillness and how it inspires them to indulge in their preferred form of art.
“Through this series of collaborations, we brought together design and art, and worked with three prolific artists wherein they created original compositions for Good Earth, interpreting stillness and what it means to them through their craft,” Anita Lal, Founder and Creative Director, Good Earth, told Vogue India.
Pranav, Co-founder of the clothing brand Huemn, wrote a poem titled ‘Zindagi ki Sthirta’, interpreting the theme of the latest collection in the first video.
In the next video in the series, Joya conducted a still-life painting session, exploring the serenity of simple moments of stillness.
Shivani, in the final video, created a Kathak dance for the concept, demonstrating beauty in pause.
The latest collection also comprises Good Earth’s eco-friendly clothing line Sustain’s Summer 2020 collection, boasting of a neutral colour palette.
