
Through a strategic alliance with Tata Group’s multi-brand e-commerce platform Tata Cliq, Guess? Inc., which runs the Guess brand in India under its subsidiary Guess? India Private Limited, will introduce the denim and lifestyle brand Guess Jeans in India.
According to a press statement issued by the company, the long-term franchise agreement would establish Tata Cliq as the official retailer of Guess Jeans in India and increase the brand’s retail presence there using an omni-channel strategy.
Guess Jeans aims to drive significant growth in India by targeting a new customer base with accessible pricing, a casual style, and a modern marketing approach. Nicolai Marciano, Guess Inc.’s chief new business development officer, expressed confidence that the reimagined brand, featuring innovative Guess Airwash™ technology, has strong long-term potential in India.
According to the firm, the collaboration will be essential to advancing Guess Jeans’ goals of opening a chain of stores throughout India. Inspired by the US West Coast, Guess Jeans sells clothing and denim for both men and women.
