
The fastest Indian baby fashion brand, WOWMOM, that offers apparel for babies from the age group of 0 to 3 years, has announced to expand its offerings and has set an objective of fetching a revenue of Rs. 40 crores in 2018-2019.
The apparel brand used to offer T-shirts, knit sets, skirts, shirts, top, and party wear. Whereas after the recent expansion, it will also include baby bath range, bedding collection, mother utility products and as well as apparels and baby basics.
Notably, the brand houses over 300 SKUs in its repertoire that caters to the needs of about 80 per cent of the infant needs.
In a press release issued, Sharad Venkta, MD & CEO, WOWMOM was quoted as saying that “India is one of the major markets for the baby product segment as it has a population of over 20 per cent in the age group of 0-3 years. There are around 50 products, which a mother needs when a baby is born and at Toonz, we work to address nearly 90 per cent of these products.”
Additionally, WOWMOM has witnessed a steady growth at 60 per cent Y-o-Y basis with previous year recording revenue of more than Rs. 20 crores. While this year, with major product assortment expansion in general trade, it sets its sights to double the turnover to Rs.40 crores.
The India-based baby fashion retailer has witnessed a rapid growth in terms of presence in other countries. It now offers its products in over 300 countries like India, Nepal, and Fiji among others. The brand also offers its products on the country’s leading e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart, Amazon, Jabong, Snapdeal and Paytm.
